Atheism is in, and I’m a poor, deluded fool (or not)

Right now, atheism is in. Science and the age of reason seem to be king. Guys like Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens are rock stars, touring the country to adoring crowds.

Close friends of mine treat me with sympathy because I continue to believe in Jesus Christ. In their eyes, it is as if I am a poor, deluded fool, continuing to believe in fairies and leprechauns along with Christ. One continually asks how an “intelligent” guy like me can continue with this God delusion.

C.S. Lewis stated it best: ”Christianity, if false, is of no importance, and if true, of infinite importance. The only thing it cannot be is moderately important.”

I like it when the stakes are high. And they don’t get much higher.

Do you ever think about it that way?
